Lynn, MA Parking Rules: Snow Removal Parking Rules (2026)

11 of the City of Lynn Zoning Ordinance adopted December 9, 2025, which applies to every off-street parking facility built or altered under the zoning code, not just single- and two-family driveways. Subsection g is unqualified: all parking stalls in an off-street parking facility shall be kept free of snow. It sits next to companion duties in the same list that Inspectional Services can use to build a broader case against a neglected lot: the surface itself must stay in durable material (asphalt, concrete or equivalent), the stall lines must remain visible, and under subsection l the whole facility, including its lighting, signage, fences, barriers and walls, has to be kept clean and in good repair, with anything damaged replaced as necessary.

Read together, a commercial or multifamily property owner in Lynn cannot let a parking lot go unplowed and call it a design or maintenance choice: it's a standing zoning obligation enforced the same way as every other provision in the ordinance, through the Building Commissioner's complaint and correction process.
