City Code Sec. 114-559 lists 19 places where stopping, standing, or parking is illegal citywide, including in front of any public or private driveway, within 30 feet of an intersection, and within 15 feet of a fire hydrant. Sec. 114-555 separately requires parking with the right-hand wheels within 18 inches of the right-hand curb (facing the direction of travel) unless the city's traffic control map authorizes left-side or angle parking. The Charleston Police Department's meter patrol enforces both.
