Street parking is set by each Davis County city. Bountiful bars parking on any street from 2:00 to 6:00 a.m. during November through March, whenever it is snowing (or within 12 hours after), and for more than 24 consecutive hours. Other cities have similar winter and time limits.
Davis County itself does not police on-street parking inside city limits; that is a municipal traffic-code function. Bountiful City Code 13-1-103 restricts on-street parking during winter overnight hours, during and after snow, and beyond posted limits. Layton limits recreation vehicles and trailers on streets to 24 hours (Code 10.62.030). In unincorporated Davis County, streets fall under the county and state traffic code, and abandoned or long-standing vehicles are handled under Utah Code 41-6a-1408.
Parking violations are infractions; vehicles left beyond posted limits or blocking snow removal may be cited and towed at the owner's expense.
