Sioux City, IA Parking Rules: Street Parking Limits (2026)

Sioux City's on-street parking framework combines Iowa state statute and local ordinance. Iowa Code Section 321.358 sets the statewide stopping, standing and parking prohibitions: no parking within five feet of a fire hydrant, on a crosswalk, in front of a public or private driveway, within an intersection, on a sidewalk (except bicycles), in front of a fire station, or in other listed locations. Iowa Code Section 321.236 confirms cities' authority to regulate the standing and parking of vehicles and to charge uncontested parking fines through a simple notice procedure (with a $5 increase if not paid within 30 days).
