Hanford Municipal Code Title 8 authorizes code enforcement officers to declare blighting conditions as public nuisances and issue abatement orders. Property owners have the opportunity to correct violations before the city proceeds with abatement. Abatement costs are assessed as a lien on the property and may be transmitted to the tax collector.
