Under Missouri City's nuisance and property maintenance regulations, grass and weeds may not exceed nine inches in height or extend more than six inches across or onto flatwork. Junked vehicles, defined as wrecked, dismantled, or inoperable for more than 72 hours and lacking current registration or inspection, may not be parked on private property where visible from a public place. A 2026 amendment further requires property owners to maintain grass and weeds in the public right of way adjacent to their property, with fines up to $500 per occurrence.
