Full Breakdown
Under ORC 715.261 and Dublin Code, vegetation on vacant lots within the city may not exceed 8 inches in height. Owners must also keep lots clear of trash, debris, discarded materials, and standing water that could breed mosquitoes. If the owner fails to maintain after notice, the city may abate (mow/clean) and bill the owner. Unpaid costs become a lien on the property via certification to the Franklin County Auditor for collection on the property tax bill. Vacant structures must be secured against entry.

Notice provides 7-10 days to cure. Abatement cost plus administrative fee (typically 150-300 dollars plus mowing cost) billed to owner and lienable.
