Full Breakdown
Section 74-21.D(2) bars any person from remaining in a County park or property if they won't abide by the chapter's rules and regulations, or by the instructions and directions of Essex County Sheriff's officers or other authorized county employees performing their duties. Anyone directed to leave must do so 'promptly and peaceably.' Subsection D(3) backs this with an outright ejectment power: the Director and county employees, including sheriff's officers, may remove from a county park anyone violating any ordinance, statute, or the chapter's rules.
Violations & Fines
Refusing to leave or obey a lawful order is enforced under § 74-6.1: up to 90 days' jail, a fine up to $5,000, or 90 days' community service.
