Palmdale, CA Public Conduct: Outdoor Smoking Restrictions (2026)

050(A) prohibits smoking in enclosed and non-enclosed public places while they're open to the public, listing twenty categories that reach far beyond indoor spaces: sidewalks; doorways and windows of public buildings, with no smoking within 35 feet; outdoor dining areas and restaurants; outdoor worksites; public and private golf courses; polling places; public transportation waiting areas; and public restrooms, retail stores, banks, hotel lobbies and health-facility waiting rooms, among others. 050(B). 040 goes further for City-owned, leased or operated property: smoking is banned outright at every outdoor City facility, including parks, and inside six specifically named venues, the Palmdale Amphitheater, Transportation Center, Larry Chimbole Cultural Center, DryTown Water Park, Palmdale Playhouse and City libraries, except in areas the City Manager designates and posts as smoking areas.
