Centennial, CO Public Conduct: Public Marijuana Use (2026)

Municipal Code § 10-6-10 defines "smoking" to include burning or carrying any lighted tobacco or plant product intended for inhalation, "including marijuana, whether natural or synthetic." Section 10-6-20 then bars smoking in enclosed public areas citywide, public buildings, food service establishments, bars, gyms, workplaces, and even the 25-foot entryway zone outside such buildings, with narrow exceptions for private homes and vehicles. A first violation of § 10-6-50 carries up to a $200 fine, rising to $500 for a third offense within a calendar year, with each day of continuing violation treated as a separate offense.
