63's miscellaneous traffic rules and treats skateboards alongside a wider list of non-motorized and lightly motorized devices. Subsection (A) bars using a street or highway to travel on skis, toboggans, or coasting sleds outright, and separately bars anyone riding a coaster, scooter, motorized scooter, motorized skateboard, toy vehicle, or engaging in skating on skates, roller skates, in-line skates, roller blades, or a skateboard from going onto any roadway at all, with one exception: crossing the street in a crosswalk. 050 when outside a marked crosswalk, apply to that crossing.

Subsection (B) then governs the sidewalk, where riding these devices is allowed but not without limits: no one may operate a scooter, motorized scooter, motorized skateboard, skates, roller blades, skateboard, or toy vehicle on a sidewalk anywhere in Lakewood in a way that shows a lack of control over the device or its direction, or in a careless and imprudent manner without due regard for the safety of people or property. Subsection (C) separately bars operating an all-terrain recreational vehicle on any highway, except when the vehicle is being used primarily for agricultural operations, a rule aimed at a heavier class of off-road vehicle rather than skateboards or scooters.
