SVMC § 6.05.060(K) permits riding skateboards and rollerblades 'generally' on pathways and sidewalks within City parks, except where the parks department has posted a restriction on a specific area. The rule narrows what counts as a rideable surface: it defines pathways and sidewalks as only the areas designed for walking, and expressly excludes benches, railings, walls, or other facilities used for freestyle stunts, which the code prohibits outright. The provision sits inside the broader park rules chapter, SVMC § 6.05.060, which also governs trail use in subsection (O); that subsection separately confirms that 'trail use' includes skateboards, rollerskates, and rollerblades alongside foot and bicycle travel, so riders on designated City trails are generally permitted the same way as on pathways, subject to any posted trail restrictions. The high-risk activities clause in subsection (U) additionally bars freestyle stunts or high-risk skate maneuvers anywhere in a park absent a special event permit.
