Exceeding the DATCP-approved capacity is enforceable under Wis. Stat. 97.72 with forfeitures up to $10,000 per violation and license suspension. Building and fire-code overcrowding is enforceable by the host municipality under SPS 320 and SPS 361 with stop-use orders and daily fines. Municipal STR-occupancy violations are enforced through each city or village's ordinance with citations and license revocation.
