All properties rented for under 30 days must register annually through GovOS/MuniRevs. Applications require floor plans, contact info, insurance certification, and $250 fee. Permits are non-transferable.
The Corpus Christi STR ordinance (adopted June 2022, Unified Development Code amendment) requires every property rented for less than 30 consecutive days and not less than 12 hours to register with the city. Registration is completed through the GovOS portal at corpuschristi.munirevs.com. The $250 annual fee applies to all registrations, which are valid for the calendar year and must be renewed each January. Required application materials include: owner, operator, and agent contact information; a floor plan identifying all sleeping areas, maximum guest count, evacuation routes, and fire extinguisher locations; the name and 24-hour phone number of a local contact person; and a sworn self-certification of compliance with insurance, fire safety, and all other STR standards. Permits are property-specific and non-transferable -- a new registration is required upon sale. The city has four dedicated STR code enforcement officers who verify compliance. Report unregistered STRs to STRComplaints@CorpusChristiTX.gov or (361) 226-7030.
Unregistered operation: Class C misdemeanor, up to $500 per day. Failure to display permit in ads: up to $500 fine.
