Corpus Christi restricts commercial vehicles over 10,000 lbs GVWR from overnight parking on residential streets under Ch. 53 Art. VI. Semi-trucks are fully prohibited.
Under Corpus Christi Code of Ordinances Ch. 53, commercial vehicles with a gross vehicle weight rating exceeding 10,000 pounds are restricted from parking overnight on residential streets or in residential driveways unless actively loading or unloading. Lighter commercial vehicles (under 10,000 lbs GVWR) used for personal transportation may park in a residential driveway on an improved surface. Vehicles displaying commercial signage or equipment must still comply with the hard-surface parking requirement. Semi-trucks, tractor-trailers, and heavy equipment are prohibited from residential street parking at all times.
