Spacing rules are strict: at least 2,000 feet is required between two electronic billboards on the same side of a street, 1,000 feet on the opposite side, and 1,000 feet from any static billboard on the same side within 300 feet of a right-of-way. Violations & Fines
Erecting or converting an outdoor advertising sign to an electronic changeable face without the Section 22.4 sign permit, or in a zoning district or location Table 22-5 does not permit, is a zoning violation subject to the city's standard UDO enforcement process, including a stop-work order and required removal or bringing the structure into compliance before further use. A malfunctioning sign that fails to freeze on its default static display is also a code violation.
