The Town Board classifies garage sale and yard sale signs as short-duration temporary signs under § 230-22C(3)(f)[2]. A community/personal event sign may go up no more than three times per calendar year, each posting limited to the 14 days immediately before the sale and removal required within 48 hours of the event's close. The sign cannot exceed four square feet, and the code allows only one per lot, placed with the prior permission of the property owner or tenant, per § 230-22C(3)(f)[2][b].
