Garage sale signs are permitted on the sale property but prohibited in the public right-of-way, attached to utility poles, traffic signs, or placed on other private property without permission. Signs must be removed within 24 hours after the sale ends.
Temporary event signs under the Land Development Code are limited to 4 square feet. Only 1 sign is allowed on the property hosting the sale. Off-premises directional signs are prohibited per content-neutral sign rules. Signs attached to trees, utility poles, or placed in medians are removed by Public Works without notice and may trigger a citation.
