Section 405-6 gives residents a direct opt-out: 'Residents of the Township may post a sign stating "No Solicitation" at their residence. ' The prohibition covers all three regulated activities defined in Chapter 405, peddling, soliciting and sermonizing (house-to-house religious or informational canvassing), and applies regardless of whether the caller holds a Township license, closing the loophole a licensed peddler might otherwise claim. , so no licensed activity may occur outside that window even at a home without a posted sign. Section 405-7(E) reinforces the no-knock protection by requiring every peddler, solicitor or sermonizer to leave immediately upon the occupant's request and never to enter a dwelling without invitation.
