The application under § 390-5 must include the applicant's name, address, date of birth, Social Security number and motorist ID; a description of the goods or services and any vehicle used; a County Health Department permit number if the applicant is a food vendor; any criminal conviction history; and the streets or neighborhoods where business will be conducted, plus three 2-by-2 photographs and two sets of fingerprints submitted to the Chief of Police.
The Town Clerk and Police Department investigate every application under § 390-6, and the Clerk may deny a license for fraud, a disqualifying conviction, or conducting business in a way that breaches the peace. A license expires automatically on December 31 of the year issued, is nonrenewable, is not transferable, and must be carried and shown on demand. on school days. A denial or revocation can be appealed to the Town Board within 30 days under § 390-6G.
