Arizona Statewide Wildlife Feeding Restrictions

A.R.S. Section 13-2927 makes it unlawful in Maricopa County and Pima County for any person to intentionally feed, attract, or otherwise lure wildlife, except for birds or tree squirrels. The statute targets coyotes, javelina, and other species drawn into urban areas by feeding. Statewide, A.R.S. Title 17 and Game and Fish Commission rules also restrict feeding of game animals in ways that could harm public safety or wildlife health. These provisions apply universally within their stated counties and cannot be overridden by less restrictive local rules.

Violation of A.R.S. Section 13-2927 is a class 2 misdemeanor, punishable by up to four months in jail and a fine of up to $750 plus surcharges.
