North Las Vegas, NV Street Vending: Vending Zones (2026)

North Las Vegas Municipal Code Title 17 (Zoning) and Title 5 (Business Licenses) define where mobile and sidewalk vendors may legally operate. Permanent street vending stations are generally prohibited in single-family residential zones (R-E, R-1, R-2) except for established ice cream truck routes that move continuously and stop only briefly. Commercial zones (C-1 Neighborhood Commercial, C-2 General Commercial) permit vendors with proper licensing on private commercial property with property owner consent. Industrial zones (M-1 and M-2) along the Apex corridor and near the Amazon and Sephora distribution facilities are common food truck hot spots serving worker shifts and require the same licensing as other zones. City parks have restrictions on commercial vending unless authorized by special event permit. Public rights-of-way along arterials such as Cheyenne Avenue, Craig Road, and Las Vegas Boulevard North require encroachment permits to set up; sidewalk vending without a permit is prohibited. Distance buffers of 100-300 feet from competing brick-and-mortar restaurants and from school grounds during school hours commonly apply.
