05(2)(cc), Storage of Trash and Recycling Carts, part of the Safe and Sanitary Maintenance of Property chapter, sets three alternative storage criteria for when carts are not out for collection. If the property has a driveway leading to the rear, the carts must be stored in the garage or adjacent to the building behind the front wall and, on a corner lot, behind the street-side wall of the house or garage. If the driveway terminates at the front of the building, or no driveway exists, the carts must be stored in the garage or adjacent to the building.

If the Building Inspection Director or a designee has set another location for a specific property, the carts must go there instead. 18(3)(c)-(d), which limits curbside placement: carts cannot be put on the terrace more than 12 hours before the designated collection day, and cannot remain on the terrace more than 24 hours after collection (or more than 12 hours at a time if a private hauler collects more than weekly). 05(2) generally.
