Carts must be placed at curb with wheels facing house, 3 feet from obstacles (mailboxes, vehicles, other carts). Place no earlier than 6 PM evening before collection, remove by end of collection day. Lids must close fully.
Orange County Code Β§32-76 requires carts placed so handles face the street. Minimum 3-foot clearance between carts and from overhead obstructions for automated truck arms. Do not block sidewalks, bike lanes, or storm drains. Overfilled carts with lids not closing may not be serviced. HOA communities often have supplemental rules.
