Republic Services collects up to 7 bulk items or extra bags per household per week on the normal trash day. Bundled tree/brush trimmings must be no more than 4 feet long, 4 inches in diameter, and 40 pounds.
Per the City's Bulk Trash page (cedarparktexas.gov/276), each Cedar Park residence may set out up to 7 additional items outside the trash cart each week. Accepted bulk items include washers, dryers, stoves, mattresses, refrigerators with the door removed and refrigerant-free (or with refrigerant-removal certification for freezers and AC units), bundled fencing material with nails removed, and oversized cardboard bundled separately from the recycling cart. Bundled tree, shrub, and brush trimmings must be no longer than 4 feet, no greater than 4 inches in diameter, and bundles tied with rope or twine cannot weigh more than 40 pounds. Prohibited bulk items include household hazardous waste, construction debris, televisions, tires, dirt, rocks, concrete, batteries, roofing shingles, ammunition, explosives, compressed gases, and propane tanks. Additional pickups beyond the 7-item weekly limit can be scheduled for a fee by calling Republic Services at 512-215-5050.
Setting out prohibited bulk items (construction debris, hazardous waste, tires, TVs) or oversized bundles will result in the items being left behind. Persistent placement of bulk waste in the right-of-way can be cited as a public health and sanitation violation under Sec. 1.01.009, with fines up to $2,000 per day. Disposal of hazardous waste or tires at the curb may also be referred for prosecution under Tex. Health & Safety Code Β§365.012.
