Because the county does not run a curbside garbage collection franchise for unincorporated areas the way an incorporated city might, large or bulky items go to a county transfer station or landfill, and the rates are set in code rather than left to a hauler's discretion. 030 charges thirty dollars for wood or brush loads under 480 pounds and one hundred fifteen dollars per ton for larger brush loads. An appliance containing Freon costs thirty dollars each to drop off, regardless of size, reflecting the added handling for refrigerant recovery.

020 sets rates at the Manson Landfill. 010 sets a minimum brush disposal fee of twenty-five dollars, with a matching twenty-five-dollar cubic-yard rate, at the Chelan County Public Works Day Pit brush recycling site, exclusive of the state refuse collection tax. These fee schedules are administered by Public Works and are amended by Board resolution as costs change, most recently effective September 1, 2025 for the Dryden and North Chelan stations.
