Under SLCRO § 607.145, waste collection service for occupied premises must provide pickup of municipal waste (other than demolition/construction debris and bulky items) not less often than once per week, and residential recovered materials (recycling) must also be picked up at least weekly. Where the Director of Public Health determines no hauler service is reasonably available in an area, the property owner or occupant must instead remove that waste themselves at least weekly and deposit it at a licensed landfill, transfer station, or processing facility. The weekly floor applies countywide to every property generating waste after January 1, 2008, and pairs with § 607.140's separate mandate that occupied premises keep an active hauler agreement in effect at all times.
