Full Breakdown
Fargo Municipal Code § 13-0522 makes pickup mandatory: no person, firm, or corporation in the city may refuse the collection and disposal service the code establishes. Multi-unit owners must give the city a current tenant list. Under § 13-0504, single-family waste goes in city-supplied small, medium, or large containers, set on the berm no earlier than 6:00 p.m. the day before pickup and no later than 8:00 a.m. collection morning, then pulled back by 6:00 p.m. that same day. Alley-served properties place containers at the rear lot line and must keep them clear of snow.
Violations & Fines
Refusing service violates § 13-0522; container placement or snow-access violations fall under Article 13-05, punishable as an infraction with fines up to $500 per day, per § 13-0525.
