Summary

Garland residents may set trash carts out no earlier than 6 p.m. the evening before pickup and, if their collection point is at the curb, must pull them back in by 11 p.m. on collection day itself. Service starts only after a customer applies and is approved by the sanitation department.

Residential solid waste containers shall be placed for collection at the collection point designated by subsection (A) not earlier than 6:00 p.m. on the day before the scheduled collection day and no later than 7:00 a.m. on the scheduled collection day. If the collection point is from the front of a dwelling, residential solid waste containers shall be removed from the collection point prior to 11:00 p.m. of the scheduled collection day. Unless provided otherwise in this chapter, if the collection point is from an alley, the residential solid waste container does not need to be removed from the point of collection and may be stored at that location. ...
