Will County, IL Trash & Recycling: Dumpster Rules (2026)

Section 150.030(E) of the Will County Building Code, part of the county's minimum building requirements for unincorporated territory, states dumpsters shall be placed on the job site prior to framing of structure and shall be emptied when full. The rule applies only outside the limits of cities, villages and incorporated towns per § 150.003. Joliet, Bolingbrook, Romeoville, Plainfield and Lockport enforce their own building and construction-debris rules. Violations of the Building Ordinance carry a petty-offense fine of up to $500 per day under § 150.999, reported to the Building Official.
