SRMC §14.17.120 treats 'outdoor storage' as its own zoning use. On non-residential parcels where it's a conditionally permitted use, storage areas must be screened from public view with fencing, an enclosure, or landscaping, kept out of required setbacks and parking areas, and may need design review. Outdoor storage isn't a permitted land use in residential districts at all, but the code carves out a narrow exception: moving containers, storage pods, and debris boxes, the kind used for construction cleanup or a roll-off dumpster, can sit in a residential driveway or yard temporarily, generally capped at 90 days unless a building permit says otherwise.
