Mansfield residents receive weekly curbside trash collection through the city contractor. Carts must be placed at the curb by 7:00 a.m. on the scheduled collection day and removed within 24 hours after pickup.
The City of Mansfield contracts with a single residential solid waste provider for weekly curbside trash collection. Each single-family residence is provided a 95-gallon wheeled cart for household waste, which is collected once per week on a route-assigned day. Residents must set carts at the curb by 7:00 a.m. on the collection day and should not place carts out earlier than the evening before. Empty carts must be removed from the curb and stored out of sight from the public right-of-way within 24 hours after collection, consistent with Mansfield property maintenance standards. Carts must be placed with at least 3 feet clearance from obstacles such as mailboxes, vehicles, and utility poles to allow automated truck arms to lift them. Collection services continue on most holidays; if a holiday delay occurs the service provider will announce a one-day slide. Missed pickups should be reported to the contractor or Mansfield Public Works at 817-276-4200 within 24 hours.
