Grapevine's residential solid waste and recycling service is provided by Republic Services under contract with the city. Residents receive weekly trash and recycling collection on assigned days. Containers must be placed at the curb by 7 a.m. on collection day and removed by the end of that day or the morning after.
Grapevine contracts with Republic Services (formerly Allied Waste) for residential solid waste, recycling, yard waste, and bulk pickup. Each residential address is assigned a weekly collection day. Residents receive a 96-gallon wheeled cart for trash and a 64- or 96-gallon cart for recycling. Carts must be placed at the curb no earlier than the evening before collection and no later than 7 a.m. on the collection day. Empty carts must be removed from the curb within 12 to 24 hours after pickup and stored out of public view (typically behind the front building line) on non-collection days. Carts must be placed at least 3 feet from mailboxes, parked cars, and other obstructions with handles facing the street. Household trash should be bagged inside the cart. The lid must close fully; overfilled carts may not be emptied. Extra trash not fitting in the cart can be placed in up to 5 additional bags (typically 50 pounds max each) alongside the cart for a fee or at certain service levels. Hazardous waste, electronics, tires, paint, and batteries are not collected curbside; residents can use the Environmental Collection Center (ECC) operated by the City of Fort Worth, accessible with a voucher. Holiday schedules shift collection one day later for major holidays. Report missed pickups to Republic or call (817) 410-3330.
