Clark County, NV Trash & Recycling: Recycling Requirements (2026)

Recycling service in unincorporated Clark County is provided by Republic Services as part of the residential waste franchise. Residents receive a dedicated 95-gallon blue cart for single-stream recycling collected every other week on the same day as trash pickup. Nevada does not have a statewide mandatory residential recycling mandate, so recycling participation is voluntary for Clark County households, though it is strongly encouraged. Accepted recyclable materials in the Las Vegas Valley single-stream program generally include: paper (newspaper, office paper, junk mail, magazines), cardboard (flattened), plastics marked #1 (PETE) and #2 (HDPE) such as water bottles and detergent jugs, glass bottles and jars (clear, brown, green), and aluminum and steel food and beverage cans.
