Sec. 2-14-30, adopted by Resolution No. " Because the landfill itself will not take grass clippings, leaves, limbs or brush, unincorporated Dougherty County residents depend entirely on their privately licensed garbage collector for yard waste pickup. Sec. 2-14-9 sets that collector's minimum service: garbage twice weekly on scheduled dates, plus nominal amounts of rubbish such as leaves, lawn and shrubbery clippings, packaged in plastic bags or approved containers under Sec. 2-14-6, where nominal is capped at an average of one bag per week. A resident who occasionally generates more yard debris than that can ask the collector to take the extra amount, and the collector is encouraged to do so and may charge an additional nominal fee.

Separately, Sec. 2-14-27(2) bars the landfill from accepting trees or timbers over eight feet long except by prior arrangement with the county, reinforcing that large brush and yard debris are handled outside the normal disposal-site process. There is no county-run seasonal brush drop-off or chipping program described in the code; the yard-waste diversion rule and the collector's contract terms are the only mechanisms in force.
