030(E) sets the collection window: once fully phased in, yard waste collection for nonmultifamily residences must be made available at least biweekly from March through November, unless the hauler demonstrates to the city that an alternative schedule achieves the same or higher participation and recovery. 090(A) pairs that service with a separation duty: residents may not discard yard waste together with regular trash and must instead make it available for recovery and composting once yard waste collection and composting services exist, or otherwise dispose of it, through composting or another method, on their own property.

020(C) defines yard waste as grass clippings, shrubbery, tree or trimmings from them, and other organic solid waste from horticulture, gardening, landscaping or similar uses. 030(J). 090(B) notes the city intended to revisit, after roughly a year of operation, whether to extend a firmer separation mandate to recyclables as well.
