3's Special Standards for Accessory Structures of Single-Family Dwellings table governs sheds, detached garages and workshops on SFR-5 lots. No more than two detached accessory structures are allowed per lot, and their combined floor area cannot exceed 50 percent of the principal dwelling's floor area. Height is capped at 20 feet, well under the 35-foot limit for the house itself. 5 feet off the rear or side lot line and at least 5 feet from the principal building, and total accessory coverage of the rear yard cannot exceed 30 percent.
