Once a dog is officially declared dangerous or vicious through the Clark County Animal Control investigation and hearing process, the owner faces enhanced confinement, insurance, posting, and leash requirements. A second serious incident can result in an order for euthanasia. Many HOAs and rental properties in Summerlin South, Green Valley Ranch (Henderson), and high-rise Strip condos impose private breed restrictions that are enforceable as contract terms even though the county does not.
