Full Breakdown
Under Fulton County Code § 34-201(a), any owner, custodian or harborer of a cat over four months old within unincorporated Fulton County, or within any city that has an animal-control agreement with the county, must obtain a dog/cat license for that cat. A cat brought into the licensed area gets 14 days from its date of entry to be licensed under subsection (b). The code's separate at-large restrictions single out cats for an exemption that dogs and other animals do not get.
Violations & Fines
Keeping an unlicensed cat past the required deadline, or failing to license a newly arrived cat within 14 days, violates § 34-201 and can draw citations enforced by Fulton County Animal Control under § 34-200.
