Yonkers regulates veterinary offices and animal hospitals as a special use under § 43-74 of the Zoning Ordinance, Article VII, Special Use Permit Requirements. Any veterinary practice seeking to open or operate in the city must secure a special use permit from the Planning Board, in addition to the underlying use permit required for its zoning district under § 43-152.
