Wyoming, MI Building Safety: Plumbing Permits (2026)

Sec. 10-121 adopts "the current Michigan Plumbing Code promulgated by the State of Michigan under 1972 Public Act 230 and 1999 PA 245," with a copy on file at the city clerk's office, subject to three local subsections: the phrase "name of jurisdiction" is read as "city"; permit fees follow the schedule set by city council resolution rather than the fee table printed in the state code's Chapter 1, Administration; and legal offenses and fines are "as otherwise provided in the city code" rather than the state code's own penalty chapter.

Unlike Wyoming's electrical article, which restates its own stand-alone "permit required" sentence at Sec. 10-84, the plumbing article (Article V, Secs. 10-121 to 10-122) does not print a separate local permit clause; the permit obligation lives inside the adopted Michigan Plumbing Code itself, administered locally under the city's fee schedule. Sec. 2301 et seq. Fee amounts, permit application procedures, and inspection triggers therefore track the state Plumbing Code as adopted, while Wyoming supplies the enforcement personnel, the fee-setting mechanism, and the citation route back to its own general penalty chapter.
