The 35-foot residential cap is uniform across RE, R-1, R-1A, R-2 and the planned equivalents, appearing at 18.170.030(A), 18.180.030(A), 18.190.030(A) and 18.200.030(A). Accessory structures other than non-residential buildings get one story and 20 feet, and separately never stand taller than the main structure. Section 18.390.140(N) adds that any accessory structure over 10 feet tall must sit back from any side or rear property line by at least one-third of its height. Chapter 18.420 supplies the exceptions: public and semi-public buildings such as hospitals, churches and schools reach 75 feet in any district, but every yard grows one foot on all sides for each foot the building exceeds the district maximum. Ground-mounted wind turbines reach 100 feet.
