Full Breakdown

Village of Little Chute Code § 10-79(a) makes it unlawful to sell, exchange, barter, or keep for sale any cigarette, cigarette paper, or cigarette wrapper within the village without first obtaining a license. Applicants file a written application with the village clerk naming the business location, pay the fee set in the village's fee schedule, and the license runs from July 1 through the following June 30 unless revoked earlier for a violation of the section. The state authorizes this local licensing power through Wis. Stats. § 134.65's cigarette and tobacco products retailer license statute.
