In the City of Coeur d'Alene, every public, semipublic and private pool, spa or hot tub that can hold twenty-four inches or more of water must sit inside a six-foot fence. The fence cannot stand within five feet of the water's edge. A safety cover meeting ASTM F1346 can substitute for the fence.
