Fitchburg's Floodplain Overlay Zoning is Chapter 22, Article X (§§22-783 to 22-804+). It establishes Floodway (FW), Floodfringe (FF), General Floodplain (GFP), and Flood Storage (FSD) districts based on FEMA FIRM panels (§22-787, §22-788). Lands cannot be removed from the floodplain unless filled at least two feet above the regional/base flood elevation (§22-791). Adopted under Wis. Stat. §87.30 and Wis. Admin. Code Ch. NR 116.
