Glendale bars bicyclists from riding on public sidewalks within any business district under Municipal Code Section 10.64.025, unless the sidewalk has been officially designated as part of an established bicycle route. Even on a designated route, pedestrians keep the right-of-way over cyclists. Police officers on bicycle patrol are the only riders exempt from the business-district sidewalk ban.
