The Memphis and Shelby County Unified Development Code sets aside a Conservation Agriculture (CA) zoning district to shield working farmland from encroaching development. Any parcel the Zoning Map omits, and land deannexed from Arlington, Bartlett, Collierville, Lakeland or Millington outside an incorporated municipality, defaults to CA unless a higher classification is approved first.
