Leak Reporting Duty
Pocatello water customers who discover an underground pipe or fixture leak can get a bill credit only if they act fast: City Code § 13.30.080(D) requires the leak be promptly reported to the utility billing department and promptly repaired, and any protest of the charge must be filed within thirty days of the bill. The utility billing director then credits half the leak-attributable charge for one billing period only.
