ADU Rules
Taylor's 2024 Land Development Code allows accessory dwelling units, defined as a secondary unit on the same lot as a principal dwelling, in the P2 Rural, P2.5 Large Lot, P3 Neighborhood, P3M Manufactured Housing and P4 Mix place types. ADUs are capped at two stories, must stay smaller than and subordinate to the principal building, and sit in the lot's third layer toward the rear. They are not permitted in P1 Nature, P2C Rural Commercial, P5 Urban Center or Civic Space.
