Taylorsville City bans operating any motor assisted scooter, gas or electric, with a stand-up deck or a seat, on public sidewalks or walkways citywide. It is a Class C misdemeanor for the rider or an owner who knowingly permits the violation, so the city's sidewalks and walkways are a no-ride zone for these devices regardless of who owns them.
